Developed for elementary and middle school students, VEXIQ materials provide an engaging robotics solution that teaches your group key skills such as problem solving, communicating, product documentation, and teamwork. Using either the VEXIQ Brain, students can develop projects from walking dinosaurs to Rube Goldberg devices to full-scale competition robots.

The goals of this year's game are Scoring Hubs and Parking or Hanging. There are 15 Hubs and 2 Bonus Hubs. Hubs can be placed in either of the 2 Building Zones as Low or High Scored. Knocking Bonus Hubs off the Hanging Structure is another method of scoring Hubs. Robots can also Park under the Hanging Structure or hang from the yellow Hanging Bar.

The goals of this year's game are Scoring Rings and Releasing the Bonus Tray. There are 60 Rings total - 20 Red, 20 Blue, and 20 Green. 15 Rings start in the Bonus Tray and 9 Rings (3 of each color) are placed on Starting Pegs. The remaining Rings are placed in designated spots. Rings can be scored by Removing them from Starting Pegs, Scoring them in the Floor Goal, and on various Posts. There are 4 Low Posts, 1 High Post, and 2 Horizontal Posts. Activating the Latches on the Bonus Tray and completely releasing the Bonus Tray also adds points to the overall score.

The goals of this year's challenge are Scoring Hexballs and by Parking Robots on the Bridge. There are a total of 28 Hexballs - 14 Blue and 14 Orange. Hexballs must be scored on the correct side and can be scored in the 1 Scoring Zone, 8 Low Goals, or 6 Elevated Goals per side. Robots that Park on the Bridge earn additional points, and a Balanced Bridge earns additional points.

To earn points in Bank Shot, teams should Score Balls or Park on the Ramp. There are 44 Balls that start in designated locations. Balls can be scored by removing them from Cutouts or by Scoring them into the Scoring Zone and Goals. There is 1 Scoring Zone, 1 Goal barricaded by a Fence, 1 Ramp for Robots to Park, and 16 Cutouts on the field.

To score points in Highrise, teams need to build the tallest Highrise possible out of Scoring Cubes. There are a total of 36 Cubes - 12 Red, 12 Blue, and 12 Green. There is 1 Scoring Zone and 3 Highrise Bases (1 for each colored cube) on the competition field. The height of the Highrise determines the point value of all non-stacked Cubes of the same color scored in the Scoring Zone. For example, if a team builds a 6 Cubes tall Highrise of Green Cubes in the Green Base, a green cube in the Scoring Zone is worth 6 points.

To score points in Add It Up, teams need to score Small and Large BuckBalls, Rings, or Hang. There are a total of 36 Small BuckyBalls and 4 Large BuckyBalls. These BuckyBalls can be scored in many locations:
